Originally known as Freetown-Fall River State Forest, in recent years the Southeastern Massachusetts Bioreserve was established to encompass this and other connected natural areas. The north side, mostly in the town of Freetown, is where you will find miles of rocky technical terrain. The south side has a few less demanding trails. The area in the middle between north and south has a good mix of technical, but less rocky trails as it transitions to the north. This is the one area where you might find some hills. They're few and far between.
      Primary Trail Type: Cross-Country
      eBikes Allowed: No

      Access Info:
There are two popular entrances. The first is the main forest headquarters on Slab Bridge Rd in Freetown. Here there are picnic tables, grilling areas, restrooms and a wading pool for the kids in the summer. The other is a parking area just east of the intersection of Indian Town Rd and Yellow Hill Rd in Fall River.
