Try Garnet Hill Lodge Garnet Hill’s varied mountain biking terrain features 5 miles of new, dedicated single-track mountain biking trails in the Log House Area as well as an extensive network of pre-existing single-track trails, cross country ski trails and dirt and gravel roads. The new trails were built to the highest standards by Wilderness Property Management, a local expert in the bike world, and designed specifically for mountain bikers.

      Some of our Adirondack mountain biking trails feature fantastic views of the High Peaks, while on others, you will find yourself in a serene wooded setting. After a fantastic time out on the trails, head back to the the Log House Restaurant up at the Lodge for something to eat.

      Nordic Ski
      The trails at Garnet Hill range from easy cruisers to technically and aerobically demanding. One can ski out from the lodge to the the edge of the trail system and arrange a return trip via bus pickup – contact the ski shop for details.

      In addition to 55 km of groomed xc trails, Garnet Hill offers access to the Siamese Ponds Wilderness, which features over 65 km of trails through a lightly traveled section of the Adirondack wilderness. Go on your own for a day or a multi-day trip. You can also arrange for a guided tour of the backcountry through Garnet Hill’s ski shop.

      Turn off Route 28 onto 13th Lake Road. Follow signs for Garnet Hill Lodge, following the road all the way to the top of the hill. Once near the top, you can choose to park in the hotel parking lot or the Garnet Hill Outdoor Center parking lot. For the hotel, continue all the way to the top. For the Outdoor Center, follow signs for the Ski Shop, a right turn just before the top of the hill.
