Glen of The Downs Nature Reserve is also known as Bellevue. The Reserve is the finest example of oak wood of it’s type close to Dublin. It is largely Sessile Oak with an understorey of Holly and a dense carpet of Woodrush, Bilberry and Heather.

Medium sized forest for MTB, with mostly XC trails mostly blue and green, with some steep bits. In summer loose dry terrain, in winter, as everywhere in Ireland, muddy and slippery, watch out for those roots. Typically users do a spin here and in Kindlestown Woods close by. Forest used by horse riders, walkers and mountain bikers.
      Primary Trail Type: Cross-Country
      eBikes Allowed: Yes
      Access Info:
Access the car park of the Nature Reserve from the N11 going South, just before Delgany exit. Its possible to park also on the access road from Glen View to Kindlestown Woods, there is a barrier as point of entry to the trail area.
