SaveThe Goat Hill Trail Network traverses Goat Hill which is in the Blackstone River and Canal Heritage State Park which is managed by the Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR). The Park offers more than 1,000 acres of park land used for a variety of outdoor activities, including mountain biking.
Goat Hill has some of the best fast and flowy cross country trails in the Blackstone Valley - purists will say in New England. A short hard climb from the Hartford parking lot about 500 yards up the Upper Goat Hill Trail, left on the Southern Access Trail, or a little further up, left on PK&C trail, brings you to the Lower Intersection. From here take a gentle but swooping climb up Billy Goat to the Upper Intersection. From here you have several choices. The Greenway Trail is a winding fast and flowy trail with lots of medium tech to the bottom. Windup is a more winding tight trail with some awesome natural features, while the Reload is somewhere between the two. But all of them are great at making use of natural features and the lay of the land.
