SaveLily Oak is one of Grey County's largest managed forests, consisting of a mixture of hardwood and conifer plantations. This property, located not far from the Village of Chatsworth, features a 2.2-kilometre logging trail, 9 kilometres of marked hiking trails and three old building foundations. In addition to hiking, other permitted uses include cross country skiing, horseback riding, snowshoeing, hunting, and fishing. It is recommended that trail users wear bright orange during deer hunting season (November to December).
The old building foundations that are located along the logging trail are remnants of barns from 1872, when this property was used as farmland. The spring creek that can be found at the north end of the forest would have made this location highly suitable for farming activities. This property became a managed forest in 1954 when Grey County took ownership over the lands.
