SaveThis is a popular place to ride, especially during the Red Bull Rampage because it is so close to the venue. The road up can be a bit long, but it is mostly graded pretty good. When you near Rabbit and Raven Farms off of Dalton Wash Road, keep your speed at or below 15 mph. They have a sustainable dry farm and the dust from driving fast kills their crops. As the make your way up the ravine it can be a bit steep and close to a cliff, I would not bring my camper up it. Once up to the top the mesa is nice a flat with a big area to park right next to a large flat slick rock area.
The first main loop is clear and easy to find except a bit near the furthest point. Most the trails up here are intermediate with some advanced features and difficult rock climbs scattered around. But as an intermediate rider it is a great place to play around, and try out some of the difficult stuff.
Some other cool things about the trails here is the interesting petrified wood, it is everywhere. Even the cairns are made of it, and as you ride along the petrified dunes you can actually see what used to be a log and branches as it petrified into the ancient dunes.
