SaveHaenertsburg is very proud of their hiking trail within the Haenertsburg Nature Reserve which is a critically endangered grassland area, maintained by the NPO FroHG (Friends of the Haenertsburg Grasslands, www. frohg.org) A minimum donation of R20 is requested per hiker to contribute towards the maintenance of the trail. Please DO NOT ARRIVE WITH A GROUP LARGER THAN 15 if you do not have approval .
There is a strict NO LITTERING POLICY on the trail and spot fines of R1000 will be levied to anyone caught littering. There are also no toilets on the trail, please ensure you carry plastic bags to dispose of everything you could leave behind, nothing but your footprints should remain when you are gone! The beginning of this trail runs alongside and through the suburb of Haenertsburg, please be respectful and keep noise to a minimum.
