SaveOur dream to create a local Downhill Mountain bike track has become a reality though the sheer determination and hard work of many.
Havok is responsible for developing the trails. It is a top venue for our ‘Grassroots’ Downhill and Freeride Mountain Bike Centre and we will continue to develop the bike tracks so there is something for everyone. We have a Freeride section for the more adventurous and the elite riders out there and lots of other ideas in the pipeline.
We want to promote a healthy lifestyle for ourselves, our friends and neighbours and our children. We hope that one day this facility will be the centre of the mountain bike track riding locally and throughout the UK for professional riders, enthusiasts and young or beginner riders
The park is run as non profit and all rates go towards paying running costs for the park and towards maintenance and improvements of the tracks.
We have two downhill tracks, The red which is a bikepark style trail with big tables and berms and the Beast which is a lot more natural loamy trail with lots of mud and roots to catch you out.
We then have the three freeride trails small, medium and massive.
We are passionate about the outdoor environment and its potential to inspire.
Cockhill wood is located in the Pennine valley of Todmorden, on the border of Yorkshire and Lancashire.
The woodland area is being carefully developed with environmental considerations for MTB riding.
