We have fully brushed this trail, top to bottom. We removed quite a few obstructing trees, along with a few cutbacks for logs that were sticking into the trail corridor. Downed trees and large rocks made some of the trail narrow and/or outsloped. We spent a day fixing the worst of the problems, along with removing a rootball that had fallen into the trail. This trail is good to go as of today! Watch out for newly fallen trees, they fall all the time. Remember: NO BIKES in the Jewel Basin Hiking Area. Bikes are allowed on the Camp Misery side of the ridge, meaning you can pedal to the microwave tower, to the notch, or down this trail. No bikes on the East side of the ridge, or on A7 towards Birch Lake. Hikers have the right of way. Please be courteous and know the bike restrictions.
