Approximately 600 acres of conservation land owned by the Town of Amherst, managed by the Conservation Commission. The Peabody Mill Environmental Center, run by the Amherst Recreation Department, is at 66 Brook Road, and serves as the primary parking and access point. Historically biking has been prohibited on all but the Hemlock and Bicentennial Trails, but in 2018 the ACC opened up the trails connecting to Chestnut Hill Road and parts south. Several trails with steep terrain still prohibit bicycles. Check signage for permitted uses, be courteous, don't ride muddy trails else the privilege to ride could be revoked
