Jubilee College State Park, located west of Kickapoo is a popular place for Peoria mountain biking enthusiasts. It is home to the largest trail system in the area. Much of it is non-technical doubletrack, and the park is frequented by hikers, mountain bikers, and equestrians. There is a area on the south side of the park with plenty of intermediate to advanced singletrack dedicated to hikers & bikers only. Jubilee offers a taste of everything from blazing fast downhills, gut wrenching climbs, and smooth flowing sections. Jubilee also hosts one of the annual homegrown I74 series races.

An equestrian camping area is located at the north end of the park. More than 45 miles of multi-use trails originate from the camping area. Horse rentals are not available. The area includes drinking water, toilet facilities, a shelter house, picnic tables and grills. Campsites are Class B/S. Overnight campers must self-register at the self-pay station or check in with the campground host located in the equestrian campground.

      Snowmobile
Snowmobiling is permitted on marked portions of equestrian trails during the daylight hours, when there is a 4-inch snow base.

      Nordic Ski
The rolling terrain provides an excellent opportunity for sledding and cross-country skiing. Several miles of trails are marked and groomed for skiing when the snowfall is sufficient.

      Access Info:
Take I-74 West (toward Galesburg) for about 11 miles. Take exit 82 and turn right on Kickapoo-Edwards Road. When you get to the “T” intersection in Kickapoo, turn left (on to route 150). After about 5 miles, you will see the entrance to Jubilee State Park on the right.

Upon entering the park, you will follow the road past the campground entrance (on the left), past the ranger station (also on the left) until you see a short road to the right. Turn right to enter the picnic area. Turn right again, and follow the signs to Red Fox Run picnic area. Just beyond the picnic shelter you will see the trail, and a sign posted mapping the major bike trails. (note, some of the trails on our map will not be shown on the signpost maps)
