SaveThe Kalamalka Lake Provincial Park in the Okanagan Valley, is a mixture of desert grasslands, wetlands, canyons and forests filled with ponderosa pine, black cottonwood and douglas-fir trees. The highlights of the park include the large lake, the sandy beaches and the 70km network of trails.
Mountain biking is permitted in the park, however, the Jade and Juniper beaches and the trails to Rattlesnake point are not appropriate for biking due to the high levels of use by hikers/walkers. Cosens beach is however permitted to biking and makes for an awesome swim after ride the epic loop up Stone Free to Tombstone and Big Ed down to the lower classics like Twista and No Boats. Ramp up the tech and ride some recently revamped 36 DD or Fraidy Cat.
