This region is Unsanctioned, Ride at your own Risk!

The Killingworth trail network was used by the HMBA for over 20 years and has seen mountain bike racing progress and grow to what it is today. It has hosted countless State and National series races over the years in both XC and DH and was the original stomping ground of 24 hour MTB World Champion, Jason English.

Access to the site became restricted by the land manager, necessitating the move to Awaba MTB Park. HMBA has access to the trails at Killingworth on event days only and annually organises events to revisit these trails.

Trails work from the main camp thru the flatter territory along the creeks and up onto the sides of the Sugarloaf range. They include a range of technical features, some more challenging than others. Several bridges have been built to facilitate the creek crossings but check the condition of these out before using.

Even with the lack of regular activity, the trails are in reasonable to good condition. The area sees a lot of use by motorbikes and 4WDs so be aware of this when setting out.
      Primary Trail Type: Cross-Country
      AKA: Killi
      Access Info:
To access the event centre, turn right into The Boulevarde, Killingworth and follow for several hundred metres before turning left onto the first unmarked dirt road on the left, BEFORE you reach the power sub station. Follow the access road under the freeway then right at the T junction and another several hundred meters to the event centre.

Note the access road can be rough and not passable by 2 WD vehicles

Alternatively, park your car near the old historic pub on The Boulevarde, Killingworth and ride from there following the directions detailed above.
