The Laurel Hill mountain bike trails are a relatively new addition to a growing list of off-road cycling trails in Northern Virginia. Located on the grounds of an old penitentiary, the Laurel Hill Mountain Bike trails are perfect for novice to intermediate riders. The trails meander through old pasture fields and through new forest in a series of interconnecting loops that add up to over 10 miles of trails.

The ride through the hills and meadows of the Laurel Hill mountain bike trails will take you through a parcel of land that was once home to a Revolutionary war hero, thousands of reformatory inmates, and a magazine of inter ballistic missiles.
