SaveGreat spot for a super mellow lap around the lake or venture north for endless mixed surface options on a gravel bike. Can be quite soft in springtime with deeper water crossings. Trail is marked with really small hiker emblems. Thank you to Missouri Department of Conservation for all the work on the trail. As of 2023 the trail is mostly double track with some side trails to the waters edge. MDC seems to have future plans for remote picnic areas possibly so keep an eye out for that. Paved parking areas on north and south sides of the lake. Restrooms at both lots, boat ramp in the north lot.
