Madeline Lake Trail System is a remote-seeming hop, skipand a jump away from the amenities of Minocqua and Woodruff. There are no restroom facilities. There are roughly 10 miles of wide trails split into four designated routes, some of which used to serve as logging roads. On particularly breezy summer days, visitors can enjoy the sound of trembling aspen trees – the natural Wisconsin wind chime. In winter, the deafening silence is often broken by wind whistling throughstands of pine. Picturesque lake overlooks are tucked along the trail for those with a little time to spare. A fire ring and ski shelter are available for cross-country skiers or anyone needing temporary shelter while on the trail. Please note that a State Trail Pass is required for skiers and cyclists, and leashed pets are welcomed spring, summer and fall. The Madeline Lake Trail System can help you get away fromit all, whether your passion is jogging, hiking, off-road biking, orcross-country skiing in winter.
