SaveThe NTN South Trails is a network of mostly singletrack in Marquette, MI designed for non-motorized recreational use. The trails traverse a mix of rocky and wooded terrain paralleling the Carp River Valley and stretching from south of Marquette Mountain to the Iron Ore Heritage Trail. NTN owns the South Trailhead and Bike Park but secures permissions with the City of Marquette, Marquette Township and numerous landowners for the remainder of the South Trails. Parts of the trail system have been around for 20 or more years, but new trails are being added each year. NTN follows IMBA (International Mountain Biking Association) guidelines for design and construction.
Trails are open to mountain biking, Class 1 e-bikes, hiking, trail running, snowshoeing, and other compatible non-motorized recreation. No other e-devices are currently allowed and trails are not open to horses.
Marquette County and NTN systems have received national acclaim as a premier mountain bike destination in several publications including Bike Magazine, Silent Sports Magazine and others.
