SaveMatangi Station MTB park is close to Alexandra and is part of a large high country sheep farm. It was developed through like minded people coming together for a common goal to enjoy our backyard. Years of blood sweat and yarns by locals have moulded this epic landscape to provide some of the best raw natural trails in New Zealand. The station owners have now produced maps and signposted the trails.
Only riders, walkers and runners who have purchased a pass are allowed entry so follow the link https://matangistationmtb.com to get your pass.
Over 60km of trail have been signposted, ranging from Intermediate to extreme downhill.
The tracks are characterized by natural rock features rather then machine made berms.
The park is open all year, but the riding area is restricted during lambing time, 1st October to 30th November.
