SaveThe McDonald-Dunn Forest is an 11250-acre research forest that lies north and of Corvallis. It is managed by the Research Forests group in the College of Forestry at nearby Oregon State University.
Forest roads and authorized trails are open to foot, horse, and non-motorized bicycles for recreational use. There are no authorized trails in the Dunn forest. Trails are mostly singletrack. Some are gravel surface, some are natural. Some are subject to restrictions either based on season or on user types. There are no bicycle-only trails and all the trails are bidirectional.
Recreation policy for the forests prohibits riding off of trails and states that it is unlawful to build or change or maintain trails without permission. Additionally, the trail etiquette requires mountain bikers to yield to all other user groups and asks that users stay on authorized trails only.
