This was a great ride. Lots of fun parts. A few technical parts. Had to walk through some areas. Don’t forget to stop and enjoy the scenery. Because of the fire closure, we caught a ride so that we didn’t have to ride on the road. If you ride on the road be ready for cars and trucks blowing by you way too close. There isn’t much of a shoulder in several places.

Rode on 10/7. Trail is in great shape but there are several large trees down on the top half of the trail. There was some ice up top in the shade but no standing water.

Rode the trail from north TH to Taylor Castle. Plenty of overgrown brush in sections of the trail. From Horsepasture TH to Taylor Castle the trail is littered with forest debris and quite overgrown in spots. Only one small tree down in this section. Fun adventure in the backcountry!
