There are approximately 100km of singletrack around Melrose. Nick Bowman and a Greencorp crew were the first to build the single track over the boiling hot summer of 2005. Since then the crew at Over The Edge have marked out another 20km.

The beauty of Melrose is that most of the tracks are accessible from your accommodation whether staying at the pub, cabins, or camping in Melrose or at the Showgrounds. No effort is required to pack up the car each time you want to go for a ride leaving much more time for riding and enjoying the bush.

Our trails are the result of collaboration between the Office for Recreation and Sport, Bicycle SA, Southern Flinders Ranges Development Board and Greening Australia. The goodwill of Sue McCallum, Rob and Christine Smart, Peter and Debbie McCallum, District Council of Mt Remarkable cannot be understated. Without their hospitality these trails would not exist.
