This riding area incorporates a number of publically owned reserves including the Signal Station, Cartwright Reserve, Porters Hill, Bicentennial Park and Truganini Conservation Area. Trails also extend onto some adjacent privately owned land. The area has excellent accessibility to residential areas including Mt Nelson, Sandy Bay and Taroona. The trail network within this area includes both fire trails and multi-use single track.
The area has the potential to be further developed into a local trail area for the surrounding suburbs with a small number of new trails required to enable both short and long circuits, as well as connections to Kingston and Ridgeway Park.
