      To the west of Harrisonburg, trails in the North River District of the George Washington National Forest are renowned for big views, long descents, long climbs and glorious places to camp. Stokesville is the gateway to great riding west of town. Stokesville Campground is a private campground with a growing bike specific trail system full of berms, jumps and tons of flow.
