      Trails in the Caribou Range north of Big Elk Mountain on the Caribou-Targhee National Forest, Palisades Ranger District.

      The Northern Caribous host a large network of motorized ATV and singletrack trails. This area provides cyclists with out-n-back rides, big loops, and long point-to-point routes. Typically, these are committing rides with big climbs and long descents. Many trails in this region require some hike-a-bike and are generally difficult uphill and downhill.

      Very popular on weekends for motorized users.

      Travel restrictions Dec 15th - April 15th to protect wildlife in winter ranges. Contact Caribou-Targhee National Forest - Palisades Ranger District for up to date restrictions and designated travel routes during closure period.
