The North Coast is known for its lush and tropical terrain. The trails primarily consist of livestock trails or paths for farmers to get into town or to pastures. Dominican's are usually very friendly towards motorsports. If gates have locks and chains on them please respect the privacy of these landowners. Trails are not maintained or groomed like they are in other parts of the world and local knowledge is essential not to get stuck, lost or injured. There are many barb-wire gates to keep animals contained or to delineate property boundaries. Always leave gates the way you found them. Never ride on your own. Bring Rope, spare parts, pump, hand saw, and tools. Cabarete Enduro Tours offers KTM motorcycle tours leaving from the East-Cabarete area. Rides are possible all season long. Wet conditions can make certain trails impossible to pass if you don't know where you are going. Some rivers are only passable in the dry season. Farmers will only speak Spanish. Bring lots of water and snacks. 3-liter camelbacks with partially frozen water and electrolytes are best to keep you hydrated in hot and humid conditions. If you can ride here, you can ride anywhere in the world. Enjoy your rides
