Trail Flow (Ridden Direction)
Trailforks scans users ridelogs to determine the most popular direction each trail is ridden. A good flowing trail network will have most trails flowing in a single direction according to their intension.
The colour categories are based on what percentage of riders are riding a trail in its intended direction.

Evergreen is partnering with the State of Washington and DNR to turn Darrington's North Mountain into a mountain bike destination. This is the potential for a showcase trail system that brings economic development to the town of Darrington and has the potential to be one of Washington's premier trail systems.

The concept calls for a Duthie-style bike park at lower elevation with 5-7 miles of trail with jumps, skill features, and lowe elevation loops that attract year round riders.

The bike park will connect to a large stacked loop system with intermediate and advanced trails. The trail will be shuttleable and there is an old fire lookout at the summit. These upper trails will be up to 19 miles with 3200 feet of vert. This is going to be a large and varied trail system. It's going to be good

From Darrington, turn left to follow Highway 530 north (signed "east" at the intersection) for one mile. After passing the Darrington ranger station on the left, follow the sign for the Whitehorse Community Park - a left turn off Highway 530 onto North Mountain Road, then stay on the main road, ignoring multiple spur roads, for 10.5 miles to the gate. If it's unlocked, it's just another 1.5 miles to the lookout.

Class 1 eMTBs will be allowed on trails as a pilot project.

This pilot project is expected to last through October 2020 and will provide one source of data gathering to help inform long-term suitability of e-bike usage on DNR lands. WA Bill 6434: “Class 1 electric-assisted bicycle” means an electric-assisted bicycle in which the motor provides assistance only when the rider is pedaling and ceases to provide assistance when the bicycle reaches the speed of twenty miles per hour.”
