Many miles of Hiking,Biking, and Off-Roading Trails That Span the Reach of the Ouachita Mountain Range in Southeastern Oklahoma and Southwestern Arkansas. Not Necessarily big or huge mountains but the elavation gain is something from the big mountains, with the highest peak being around 2500ft and the lowest being around 1000ft the elevation is diffidently there. Theses mountains are some of the oldest in the world and being one of the few mountain ranges that run East to West not North to South like most mountains. At one time the Ouachita Mountains were very similar in height to the current elevations of the Rocky Mountains. Because of the Ouachitas' age, the craggy tops have eroded away, leaving the low formations that used to be the heart of the mountains. Mostly all of the Trails are located in the worlds loneliest national forest(Ouachita National Forest). Which was built during the 1930 (AKA Great Depresion) by CCC workers.
