To the east the Olona delimits longitudinally the park, at north Gasletti torrent and the Selvagna torrent.
Inside it is generated numerous other rivers, including the Rile and Tenore. The particular geomorphology of the area allows the creation of numerous small streams fed by spring water and rainwater. The soil is so ragged by a large number of valleys that surround sometimes difficult to access.
The vegetation is typical of the moor Lombard, consisting mainly of Scots pine and hardwoods, including English Oak, Red Oak, Chestnut, Robinia, hornbeam, birch, elm, maple, ash, hazel, Platano, black poplar and alder.
From the point of view of wildlife in the area is the scarce breeding bird hawk, rapacious infrequent at this altitude.
