This Park is in continual development and has many purpose-built mountain bike trails that are managed and maintained through volunteer efforts by Whangarei Mountain Bike club (and regular users are encouraged to join the club and help out with working bees where possible), as well as gravel roads and a couple of 4wd tracks. There is a good mix of downhill flow-trails and hand-cut singletrack, along with one main uphill trail (White Tail). New signage is under development, but for now many trails aren't well signposted, but there are three new map boards located within the park at major intersections.

There are two entrances to this Park, off Abbey Caves Rd or from the top of Memorial Drive. The Abbey Caves Rd entrance has a car park and information.
