Pease Trails Mountain Biking Trails

Within the oldest town forest in the United States (incorporated 1710) is nestled approximately 5 miles of high-quality, fast, flowy and fun singletrack. Placed between the north end of Pease ANGB's airfield and the historic downtown of Newington, the trails don't make sense for the average walker or hiker, but come perfectly together on two wheels - they were cut with mountain biking mind. It is a very unique spot as the southern tip of Camel Humps abuts the North Ramp of the Air Force base, with clear views of the aircraft taking off and landing at the mixed-used airport. Expect to have jet engines interrupt the pease and quiet of the forest.

Pease Trails are some of the fastest and flow-iest singletrack in the region, serving up tight switchbacks, shreddable corners, constant up-and-downs, and soft loam. What the area lacks in size, technicality, and vertical gains (most trails are easily accessible for beginners due to the topography and lack of rock gardens) it more than makes up for with quality and convenience. Being the only trail network just outside of Portsmouth city limits, it serves an excellent spot for lunchtime hot laps or post-workday grinds for those in the Seacoast area. There are approximately 4.5-5 miles of riding to be had here, but the area is very rewarding to those looking to explore - there are some offshoots to the network.

Multiple Access Points, but each parking area only has 2-3 spots (don't block people in) - street parking as long as your car is pulled off the road enough is also OK.
