SavePermanently Closed. Please stay off trails. It is with extremely heavy hearts that we are announcing that MORCA's stewardship and access to Porcupine Ridge will be ending in the Fall of 2023 on October 31st.
The land owner has expressed that they hope to use this land differently moving forward. We have greatly appreciated the generous use of this land, over the past 26 years (since 1997!!), for amazing technical Mountain Biking. Access to the trails for riding will end on October 31st when these trails traditionally have closed.
Reminder: This is an EXPERT level trail system. There are no easy trails, no easy way in, and no easy way out once you have started. Please consider your skill level before riding at Porcupine Ridge.
The trails at Porcupine Ridge are expert-level trails. Please be aware that all trails - including the main trail - include technical features, climbs, and in some cases built features. Once you begin on the trails, there is no easy way out.
This rocky technical trail system is located across the road from Santa's Village, 7 km from downtown Bracebridge. Make the initial climb up and be treated by trails that will test your skills at navigating rocks, roots, and even some build features. The trails highlight the Canadian Shield by weaving up, over, and through many technical features. Make sure to bring water, snacks, and some bug spray along for the ride. Please note that wearing a helmet while riding is mandatory.
E-bikes must meet federal rules of 500 watts output @ 32 km maximum. Units exceeding this or modified are not authorized. All e-bikes must have 1 million liability in force while using club trails.
