Potter Hill Trails, which span the Millbury/Grafton town line, is one of the best kept secrets in the Blackstone Valley mountain biking community. A bonus is that the trails connect with the adjacent Rayburn Trail Network in Millbury. The Potter Hill Area Trails traverse the Martha Deering Wildlife Management Area managed by Mass Wildlife (DFW) as well as the Grafton Land Trust (GLT) Brigham Hill Open Space, the G Knowlton Preserve and the Potter Hills Meadows. While there are many more hiking trails on the land, I have mapped only those trails popular with Mountain bikers. Potter Hill is old school with lots of techie and gnarly features, lots of twisting and turning, but also some good climbing and awesome descending. These trails are definitely not buff and the lesser used trails may be somewhat overgrown at different times of the year, but the GLT keep them in reasonably good shape. Check out the Strava Global Heat Map to see which trails are the most popular with mountain bikers. Also please keep in mind that these trails are multi-use and you will definitely encounter walkers. Definitely worth a visit.

      Access Info:
You can access the trails directly from the Rayburn trails or you can park at one of the several designated parking areas in Grafton, shown on the map. From the Potter Hill Rd, Oak Ridge Lane and Rose Lane parking areas you descend into the trails and from the Riverlin Str parking area you climb into the trail area. Rose lane and Riverlin are the most popular, as well as access from the Rayburn Trails.
