      Powder Mill Gulch is the largest of the streams in the Port Gardner Bay watershed and begins in the Boeing Detention Basin, running in a roughly south-north direction and discharging into Port Gardner Bay in the Puget Sound. The basin is approximately 2.5 miles long and 1.0 mile wide, covering approximately 2.0 square miles.

      Soils in the Powder Mill Gulch basin are mostly Vashon Till or fill due to the Boeing
      complex. The dominant soil types for hydrologic modeling in the Powder Mill Gulch basin include
      till, outwash, and saturated.
