SaveOverview:
The Raging River State Forest Mountain Bike Trail System is being developed by Washington Department of Natural Resources and Evergreen Mountain Bike Alliance. As of March 2024 there are 25 miles of purpose-built mountain biking trails -- most of which hikers are allowed to use. There is also a 10-mile hiker only Rattlesnake Mountain Trail that travels up the ridge all the way to Rattlesnake Lake.
In 2017 Phase 1 brought 15 miles of new trails for all skill levels and styles, from green level climbing and flow trails, to black & double black diamond tech and flowy DH. In 2020 & 2021, Phase 2 raised the total mileage to 25 with 10 new miles of trail that created an epic stacked loop system with dozens of ways to hook together a ride.
Phase 3 is in the works with new trails planned to open in June 2024 and more in 2025/2026. The goal is for a total of 40 miles when complete.
The longer term plan also calls for connections to nearby trail systems. A connection to North Bend's Tennant Trailhead Park is funded and in the final stages of permitting. The goal is to also connect the Raging trail system to Tiger Mountain and potentially Taylor Mountain.
Typical Conditions:
Remember that Raging Ridge and Raging Tiger are 2-way trails. Uphill has the right of way and be alert for other riders and hikers, especially around corners and in brushy areas.
Trails vary from bermy jumpy machine built fun to narrow rooty steep technical DH. There is something for everyone.
E-BIKES: Please use the fire roads to climb whenever possible. If you aren't sure how to get somewhere, check to see if there is an e-bike route created for you to use.
