Another great example of a Texas Sate Park mountain bike trail. Supported in conjunction with the Dallas Off Road Bicycle Association (DORBA). All of the loops, excluding Red, offer varying degrees of intermediate trail riding. Trail surface ranges from hard pack, loose rock, fixed rock, root, and occasional sand (not much). There's plenty of climbing and descends for a nice workout. The Red loop is for advanced riders, and includes a significant amount of larger fixed rock outcroppings to test a riders ability to pick a good line. Expect a lot of technical climbing and tricky tight drops. Red loop is the lad of pinch flats and pedal strikes. The Red loop can be bypassed by riding what's left of an access road to the end of Red where it meets up with the Yellow loop. While popular, it's never crowded. There is the usual and reasonable State Park entry fee.
