SaveCarved from the walls of an abandoned water-filled mine pit, Redhead offers outdoor enthusiasts an oasis of fun year-round. Redhead has something for everyone – with 25-miles of hand crafted, purpose built mountain bike trails already on the ground and more on the way. Difficulty ranges from beginner to expert level with a wide array of terrain features and options for riders to test out their skills.
Note: The elevation profiles for the trails here are inaccurate due to low-accuracy/low-resolution topography from mapbox. Mapbox shows 80ft of vertical here, but this mine pit is over 200ft deep. Please keep this in mind and be prepared for more elevation change than what's on Trailforks.

Trail head is located in the back of the Minnesota Discovery Center Parking lot. Exit the highway into the Discovery Center main entrance and follow the road, and signs, through the main parking lot to the gravel lot where the trail head is. Trail entrance is new for 2021 and is located directly off the gravel lot.
