This area provides a selection of easy trails circling a reservoir. The location on the eastern shoulder of the Helena Valley provides scenic vistas for 360 degrees.

The Helena Valley Reservoir is a Bureau of Reclamation project that controls flow in the Helena Valley Irrigation Canal and provides additional drinking water to the City of Helena during summer months. For this reason, dogs are not allowed in the reservoir.
      Primary Trail Type: Cross-Country
      Access Info:
The main parking lot is located off York Road, right at the crest of the first hill as you drive east from Helena.
