SaveThe Ridgeway trails, originally constructed in the 1990's, have been reconstructed incorporating refurbished old trail, road to trail conversions and new trail. The last phase has been finished as of March, 2024. The 6-miles of trails offer downhill/gravity trail for mountain bikers and XC experiences for mountain bikers and hikers from beginner to advanced, taking advantage of the topography and beautiful lake overlooks. E-bikes are allowed. Smooth Operator, Ledges and Roots & Chutes offer shuttle opportunities from the Boat Ramp Parking Area.
The new Ridgeway Mountain Bike Trails were developed in partnership with USACE, Georgia DNR RTP, North Georgia Mountain Bike Association, Amicalola Electric EMC, Georgia Transmission and Gilmer County.
