SaveRocky Knob Park, a National Recreational Trail System, is home to about 10 miles of trails. While not a place to learn to ride a mountain bike, the trails are designed to progress rider's skills. The Park's stacked-loop system provides a wide variety of options to link together fun and challenging rides. Local riders use the park as a daily after work session. Expect dog walkers and trail runners early in the morning. Mountain bikers should be prepared to yield to other trail users. Due to the rocky terrain, trails remain open in the rain. Freeze/Thaw cycles typically close the trails in winter months. The Park also has a large, rentable picnic shelter, a kid's adventure playground, and a pump track. Volunteers work to maintain and build new trails on "Dirty Thursdays." Check the Rocky Knob Facebook page for volunteer information and current updates on trail conditions.

Rocky Knob Park is located on US 421 just east of Boone city limits. From downtown, take US 421 S towards Wilkesboro. The park is located just off 421 on the right 7/10 of a mile past Bamboo Road and the Marathon Gas Station.
