      Silver Star Mountain is an extinct volcano in the southwestern Cascade Mountains in the U.S. state of Washington, named for the pattern of five prominent ridges that radiate from the summit in the shape of a star.

      Directions:
      From Battle Ground, Washington drive north on State Route 503 and turn right onto Rock Creek Road. Continue nearly 9 miles to the Moulton Falls County Park. Just past that park, turn right on Sunset Falls Road and continue 7 miles to the Sunset Falls Campground. Turn right into the campground, cross the East Fork Lewis River on Forest Road 41, and drive 3.5 miles. Turn right onto Forest Road 4109 by way of a sharp hairpin turn. Continue 4 miles on Forest Road 4109 to the road end and trailhead.
      Alert: 4109 is very rough and not recommended for low clearance vehicles.
