Bike Park Closed for Season. Opens on May 25
Snow Summit is So Cal’s only lift served Bike Park We have teamed up with Gravity Logic, a leader in the mountain bike industry to design all new trails for mountain bikes. Miracle Mile, Party Wave and Westridge Trails are open for summer 2014. Both Party Wave and Miracle Mile are advanced runs for experienced mountain bikers and they include upper level features such as step ups, berms, bridges and more. Westridge is a blue trail geared towards intermediate riders with some advanced features. Our Bike Park Terrain Crew maintains the trails and will keep a fresh set-up all summer long.

      Snow Summit Mountain Bike Park

Over the course of the next five years our master plan of building out the bike park begins this spring with a beginner trail. We are currently moving forward with our plan to have the LONGEST and ONLY “Green” mountain bike trail in the Big Bear Valley with full lift service! We are working with the National Forest Service to pursue our original plan for this trail designed by Gravity Logic, Inc. and we are currently doing environmental studies and pursuing the appropriate permits.

Cross Country Mountain Bike Trails at Snow Summit

Sure, there’s been a lot of hype this summer about our Bike Park, but don’t think of Snow Summit as only for Downhill Mountain Bikers! While our Resort doesn’t offer an any Cross-Country style trails on resort property, you can use the Scenic Sky Chair to access some great cross country trails at the top of the mountain that are managed by the National Forest Service! One of the most popular is the “Skyline Trail”, running alongside to Skyline Drive (2N10), which traverses across the ridgeline offering spectacular views of the Santa Ana River Valley and San Gorgonio Mountain. Did you know that the Forest Service has recently been expanding “Skyline” to provides a world class biking experience for cross-country mountain bikers? Skyline now features approximately 26 miles of trail to help get your tires dusty! Why not enjoy the view from our Sky Chair on the way up, pedal around to your heart’s delight, and then maybe grab a bite at the View Haus!
