      The Sooke Hills Wilderness is a large semi-backcountry wilderness area located between the municipalities of Sooke and Langford. The region includes the Sooke Hills Wilderness Regional Park, Sooke Mountain Provincial Park and the Sea to Sea Regional Park (lakes section).

      Trails in this region are generally unmarked and unmaintained and are very different to those located on and around Mt Manuel Quimper in the Harbourview area. Fallen trees, unbridged stream crossings, wildlife and other natural hazards are to be expected. There is little or no cell phone coverage in most of the region, and as such all trail users should prepare accordingly.
