SaveStillwell Woods trails are one-way. If you don't see any markers, your going the wrong way. Stillwell has a two mile green beginners loop. There is also a nice easy loop around the inner field that you will only see if using the yellow or green trails. The main blue loop is considered more difficult and the black diamonds are the most difficult. The climbs are short but moderately steep with a good deal of sand and gravel so they can be tough if you're not in the right gear. Most of the climbs are short and punchy but there are a few long ones too. Stillwell links up to Trail View State Park AKA: Nassau-Suffolk Greenbelt trail to the south. The greenbelt is an easier trail that will take you 8 miles south to Bethpage Park. Use a bell and call out when passing people. Be nice say hi
