SaveSituated on Sweet Briar College's 3,250 acres are 20 miles of winding trails designed for the enjoyment of hikers, cyclists, and horseback riders. Be aware that maintenance of these trails tends to be hit-or-miss. The trails that border open fields in particular are sometimes significantly overgrown - depends largely on how often the college mows those borders. The college also has a horseback program and you may encounter horses on the trails. Please be respectful and considerate and yield to horses at all times when biking. Use caution/wear blaze/watch for signs designating hunt/no hunt areas during hunting season. Hunting is permitted on some sections of the trail network.
