SaveTimpanogos WMA covers the foothills north of the mouth of Provo Canyon. In 2019, the WMA approved a complete network of trails that retain most of the existing volunteer trails while preserving the most significant wildlife areas.
As part of the 2019 plan, Utah DNR agreed to sanction, sign, and maintain several miles of trails here with the stipulation that most of this area is CLOSED during the winter, as it is an important winter habitat for Elk and other game.
