The Tolt trails are a little known system with a nice campground right at the base. The IAB trail goes from the campground at up to the plateau where trails go off in every direction.

Most of the trails a dirt single track through forests with fern ground cover. Some are rooty but nothing too severe. There can be a few muddy spots during the rainy season but overall they are rideable throughout the year. And the maze of single track can be confusing, so expect to get lost.

The center area was recently logged, which wiped out some off the trails. But all the trails on the periphery are still intact. And a new Phoenix Trail is being actively built.

For the out of towners this is a great place to camp and ride. And for the locals it is great if you want something more challenging than St. Eds but not as burly as Tiger Mountain. There is something here for everybody.
