"To find out if the Town Creek Bike Park is open on any given day, check the calendar to the right or you may call the Recreation Department at 864.898.8155 — the recorded message will give you an update.
There is no cost to use the Bike Park and there is no attendant on duty.
The City needs your help in keeping the Bike Park in good shape. To prevent the dirt features from being damaged and to prevent unnecessary risk to the riders, the course must be dry before it is opened. When the course is wet, it will be closed and cannot be used. As a general rule, if there is 1″ of rain, the course will remain closed for 1 day, if there is 2″ of rain, the course will remain closed for 2 days, etc. The course may also be closed for major holidays, extreme weather conditions, and for special events so please call ahead when possible.
Bike Park riders need to sign a waiver and wear a helmet and other recommended protective gear. You may complete a waiver at one of the kiosks at the Bike Park or you may print one by clicking on the link below and bringing it with you. Place the signed waiver in the designated slot in one of the kiosks.
Town Creek Bike Park hosts a number of exciting features, including:
-8’ wide paved trail called the “Appalachian Lumber Greenway” that follows most of the existing trail along the historic --Appalachian Lumber Company railroad route and provides a multi-use and ADA accessible path between the Pickens -Recreation Center and the Playground of Promise
