The West Duwamish Greenbelt is the largest contiguous forest in Seattle, spreading over 550 acres in West Seattle from the tip of Pigeon Point to Westcrest Park. It consisted of groomed, gravel-covered trails, old road grade based trails, social trails and paths. It is a great place to hike, trail run and ride. Many of the trails are muddy in the winter but still passable. Summertime sees the trails dry up with some overgrowth at times. There is lots of community involvement to maintain, build and keep the trail system really in good shape and well loved.
