SaveWhitten Woods Community Forest in Ashland is a multi-use trail system. In the fall of 2022, Pemi Valley NEMBA, the Squam Lakes Association, and AmeriCorps completed construction of mountain bike trails within the network of hiking trails.
The parking area is small, and often fills up mid-morning on weekends. Please carpool and time your riding accordingly. If the parking area is full, please do not block the gate or park in the road.
This community forest is a popular walking spot, and we are fortunate that the landowner, New England Forestry Foundation, is welcoming mountain bikes on the property. Remember to yield to hikers and ride with gratitude. www.nemba.org/gratitude
