SaveThe “Wiss” has it all. The hills are up and down constantly but there are some flat sections and there’s lots of rock throughout. There are some beginner trails but it takes planning and use of Forbidden Drive to make a loop of them.
Wiss sees millions of visitors per year, so expect to share trails with pedestrians, dogs and equestrians; please be respectful and yield accordingly - that means being able to slow considerably and/or stop completely when necessary.
Report any park issues, damage or fallen trees to FOW:

Philadelphia Parks & Recreation (PPR) requires a permit to ride the upper trails which can be found here along with the specific rules and regulations for biking:

Unauthorized trail work is strictly forbidden and jeopardizes the relationship with the land managers which are crucial to maintaining our access. Failure to follow this jeopardizes trail access for everyone. Any unauthorized trail work will be decommissioned.
